Vang Vieng Hoya

Cutting or rooted starter
Cuttings: These are single leaf and node cuttings and are not rooted. Occasionally, we include an extra cutting as a bonus.!

Starter Plants: Sizes may vary, but we always do our best to send you the healthiest and most beautiful plant available, based on its current growth, size, leaf shape, and variegation. This would be at least 1 stem with at least 2 leaves. These are bigger leaves so this plant has less leaves usually 2 or 3.

Hoya vangviengiensis

Fast-Growing • Charming Blooms • Easy to Love

Hoya vangviengiensis is a vigorous and beautifully textured Hoya species native to Southeast Asia. It’s known for its soft, fuzzy leaves, quick growth, and clusters of bright yellow to peach-colored flowers with a sweet scent. This species thrives in typical indoor conditions and is a favorite for anyone who wants a reliable grower with frequent blooms.

🌿 Appearance
Medium-sized, oval leaves with a slightly fuzzy or suede-like surface.
Leaves range from medium green to deep green depending on light.
Stems grow quickly, making it an excellent trailing or climbing plant.
New growth may show a soft reddish tint.

🌞 Light
Thrives in bright, indirect light.
Can tolerate some gentle morning sun.
Low light reduces growth and may delay blooming.

💧 Water
Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry.
Allow the plant to dry a bit between waterings.
Avoid overwatering—its fuzzy leaves can trap moisture and rot if the soil stays wet.

🌱 Soil
Prefer a light, airy mix such as potting soil + perlite + orchid bark.
Excellent drainage is essential for healthy roots.

💨 Humidity & Temperature
Excels in 50–70% humidity, but is tolerant of normal household levels.
Ideal temps: 65–85°F.
Keep away from cold drafts or temps below 55°F.

🌸 Blooms
Produces clusters of yellow, peach, or soft pink star-shaped flowers.
Flowers often have a sweet, sugary scent.
Good light and stable care help encourage frequent blooming.

🌾 Growth Habit
Naturally fast and vining, great for trellises or hanging baskets.
Can fill out beautifully with regular light pruning.

💡 Care Tips
Give it bright light for faster growth and reliable flowers.
Don’t overwater; allow some dryness between waterings.
Let it climb for best leaf size and bloom production.
Keep an eye on airflow around the fuzzy leaves.

‼️ Important Info for All Plant Cuttings ‼️

After your purchase, please take a moment to read the note from me that includes tips and tricks for propagating your cutting successfully! While it’s rare, shipping stress can sometimes affect cuttings. If you notice any issues upon arrival, please reach out within 48 hours of delivery. I'm happy to offer a refund, replacement, or coupon if there's a problem — but I can only help if I hear from you within that window!

🌿 Normal Shipping Stress
It's completely normal for cuttings to show signs of stress such as wilting, yellowing, or browning during transit. This doesn't mean the cutting is dead — as long as the node is healthy, the cutting is still viable and has the potential to root and grow.

📦 Shipping & Weather Notes
All cuttings are shipped via USPS Standard Shipping. If you’d like a quicker option, please select Priority Shipping at checkout.

If temperatures in your area are expected to drop below 50°F (10°C), I strongly recommend adding a heat pack to your order (available in the shop or as a shipping upgrade). This helps protect your cutting during transit and reduces the risk of cold damage.

🌡️ Weather & Delivery
Please keep an eye on the weather in your area. I do my best to pack your plants with care, but I’m not able to control USPS delays, weather-related issues, or delivery errors. If there’s a delivery problem, you can contact USPS directly — but I’m always happy to help where I can, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
